Agarwood Powder – From Resin & Oil Distillation and Untreated Gaharu Wood | Industrial-Grade Supply
Our Agarwood Powder is an industrial byproduct derived from the processing of Aquilaria wood—either untreated (raw) or post-distillation. Despite originating from what is typically considered a residue of the agarwood industry, this powder retains significant aromatic and economic value, especially for incense, bakhoor, and oil/resin extraction industries.
We offer only the finest selection of agarwood powder generated from our internal production processes, primarily using TGC-grade wood from Meroke (Papua), as well as raw materials from Borneo (Kalimantan) and Sumatra. We do not supply powder from premium-grade gubal (heartwood) due to its rarity and extremely high cost.
Overview
Types of Agarwood Powder We Offer
We categorize our agarwood powder into three main types based on processing origin:
Derived from the crushing or grinding of TGC-grade agarwood logs, this type retains a natural fragrance, ideal for custom incense or bakhoor applications.
TGC (Terpentine Gaharu Class) is a classification unique to Meroke agarwood.
1. Untreated TGC Wood Powder (Pure Raw Material)
2. Post-Oil Distillation Powder
3. Post-Resin Distillation Powder
This powder results from the wood remaining after one or more rounds of agarwood oil extraction. Despite the oil being removed, it retains base aromatic compounds suitable for bakhoor and secondary use products.
Created from the residual wood after resin extraction processes. Like oil-refined powder, this type is mostly used in industrial applications such as filler for bakhoor blends or as base material for processed aromatics.
Note:
Powder from oil or resin extraction can undergo up to three distillation rounds, after which it becomes non-aromatic.
Grading & Origin
Each powder type is graded by origin and refinement process :
Meroke (Papua)
Untreated Powder: Grade A, Grade B, Grade C
Post-Resin Distillation: RA Super, RA+, RA, RB, RC
Post-Oil Distillation: RA+1, RA+2
TGC classification applies exclusively to Meroke agarwood.
Borneo (Kalimantan)
General Grades: Grade A, B, C, D
Post-Oil Refining (no specific code system, varies by batch)
Grades: Grade A, Grade B, Grade C
Sumatra
